Regularly scheduled meetings will be the first Tuesday of each month at 7pm

The public is requested to fill out a “Speaker Card” to address the Board on any item of the agenda prior to the Board taking action on an item.  Comments from the public on agenda items will be heard when the respective item is being considered.  As a covered entity under Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act, the City of Los Angeles does not discriminate on the basis of disability and upon request, will provide reasonable accommodation to ensure equal access to its programs, services, and activities.  Sign language interpreters, assistive listening devices or other auxiliary aids and/or services may be provided upon request.  To ensure availability of services or to request translation, please make your request at least 3 business days (72 hours) prior to the meeting you wish to attend by contacting the Neighborhood Council Project Coordinator



1)     Call to order, Pledge of Allegiance.

2)     Welcome to new stakeholders wishing to join the Land Use Committee.

3)     Comments by Public Representatives – (5 minutes)

4)      Public Comment – (3 minutes each)

5)     Updates with possible action regarding:

a)      11-39 Fenway, Shadow Hills – addition of 580 sq.ft. to a 1283 sq.ft. single family residence in the RAK zone on a 9063 sq. ft. lot. DIR 2013-034SPR.

b)     10430 La Tuna Canyon Road, La Tuna Canyon – addition of 168 sq.ft. to a single family residence on a RAK lot. DIR 2013-0273 SPR. Approved on Feb. 22, 2013 (received on Feb 11, 2013).

c)     11300 Pendleton St. and 9143-9189 De Garmo Ave. Sun Valley – Expansion of Community Recycling and Resource Recovery  Inc. including adding a 107,000 sq.ft. 1 story structure varying in height from 48 feet to 67 feet, a request for a Zoning Variance and issuance of a permit to incorporate all recycling activities on the property and other actions. A hearing is scheduled for Friday, March 8 at 2 P.M. in the first floor conference room of the Braude Building, 6262 Van Nuys Blvd. CPC-2008-4336-CU-ZV-SPR.

d)     9504 N. Sunland Blvd. Parcel Map – dividing one lot into two. AA-2012-3369PMLA.

e)     8300 La Tuna Canyon Rd. La Tuna Canyon. (Previously owned by Rev. Park). Proposed construction of 60 homes on 39 acres.

f)      10000 Foothill Blvd. (All Nations Church) , Lake View Terrace – parking encroachment into areas not approved in CUP.

g)     11759-61 Fenton, Lake View Terrace 3 story Eldercare Facility. Currently appeal denied.

h)     11847 W. Terra Vista Way, Lake View Terrace – proposed construction of 39 single-family detached condominiums in the (T)(Q)RD6-1 zone.

i)      NE corner of Fenton and Terra Bella, Lake View Terrace – owner interested in donating corner land to the City to relieve flooding and safety issues.

j)      Wealtha Pit.

k)     10519 La Tuna Canyon Road (4 illegal houses) ZA2007-0810-ZA-ZAA-1A

l)      Verdugo Hills Golf Course, proposed construction of single family homes OR Prop O investment to procure property for the community.

m)    Vulcan property at Foothill and Wentworth and possible public use.

n)     Stallion Estates, Shadow Hills – building encroachment on dedicated trail.           

6)     Notification of public hearings.

7)      Committee members remarks and proposals.

8)     Adjournment.

PROCESS FOR RECONSIDERATION

Under FTDNC Bylaws, Article 7, Section H, the Board may reconsider and amend its action on items listed on the Agenda if that reconsideration takes place immediately following the original action or at the next regular meeting.  The Board, on either of these two days, shall: (1) make a Motion for Reconsideration and, if approved, (2) hear the matter and Take an Action.  If the motion to reconsider an action is to be scheduled at the next meeting following the original action, then two items shall be placed on the agenda for that meeting: (1) a Motion for Reconsideration on the described matter and (2) a proposed Action should the motion to reconsider be approved.  A Board member who has previously voted on the prevailing side of the action taken can only make a motion of reconsideration.  If a motion for reconsideration is not made on the date the action was taken, then a Board member on the prevailing side of the action must submit a memorandum to the Secretary identifying the matter to be reconsidered and a brief description of the reason(s) for requesting reconsideration at the next regular meeting.  The aforesaid shall all be in compliance with the Brown Act.
